Situated at the end of a private lane at the very edge of the village of Thropton, this 200 year old former farmhouse offers you the best in Northumbrian hospitality, a relaxed atmosphere and a location from which to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of Coquetdale and the Northumberland National Park. Enjoy a full English breakfast or a continental buffet with fresh fruit, cold meats, cheeses and yoghurts accompanied by Pauline's home-made bread and marmalade, served in the conservatory with its stunning views across the garden to the hills bathed in early morning light. Directions

Thropton is in Coquetdale,15miles west of Morpeth and 30miles from Newcastle International Airport. Approaching by car from either North or South via the A1, take the A697 Coldstream road at the northern end of the Morpeth bypass. After approx. 6 miles from the A1, exit the A697 at Weldon Bridge onto the B6344, following signs to Rothbury. Drive straight through Rothbury and Thropton is the next village (2 miles). At the far end of Thropton on the left you will see the sign for Thropton Demesne Farmhouse BandB. Our car park is at the bottom of the private drive. Coming from Otterburn and the west, we are the first on the right as you enter the village.When using SatNav please be aware that several properties in the village share the same postcode and your system will only direct you to the centre of the village. For the last 150 metres you will need to follow the above directions.
